About Us

The mission of The Program for the Study of LGBTQI+ Health is to promote the health and wellness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people through the key areas of research, clinical practice, education, and innovative policy development. AFFIRM Talent is part of Project AFFIRM, our study on identity development, health, wellness, and resilience among gender-diverse people.

Background

Organizations and companies that support transgender and gender nonbinary people become places gender-diverse folks choose for employment. This is beneficial for businesses that recognize the value of a diverse workforce and its impact on productivity and creativity. Administrative efforts can significantly enhance the employment experiences of TGNB people, aid the recruitment and retention of a gender-diverse workforce, and improve employment inequality. We created AFFIRM Talent for employers and organizations looking to create a welcoming and affirming environment for transgender and gender nonbinary employees.
