LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR NEW PROJECT.

For this study of Project AFFIRM, we are looking for a diverse group of Latinx trans and non-binary people who reflect the broad range of identities found within the community. We are doing this research study to learn more about the unique and specific ways that Latinx trans and non-binary people respond to stress and difficulties in positive ways. We want to know more about how your experiences and identity as a Latinx trans or non-binary person inform the ways that you are able adapt to and cope with ongoing challenges and adversity in society. We hope that the results of this study can be used to help inform psychological treatments and services designed specifically to work with Latinx trans and non-binary people. As a part of the study, you will meet with a member of our research team (Bekah Estevez, M.Ed, she/her/hers). Bekah will collect information about your personal background and ask you questions about your identities, experiences with stress and discrimination, and how you respond and adapt to these challenges.

We will provide you with a $30 gift card for your time and effort.

If you are at least 18 years of age, identify with a gender that is different from the one you were assigned at birth, identify as Latinx or Hispanic, speak English, and currently reside in either New York, San Francisco, or Atlanta Metropolitan Areas, please complete the survey online to be enrolled in the study (click on the button below). Bekah will then be in contact with you to schedule the interview via the email address projectresilienceatl@gmail.com.
